Meet our killer new fall intern, Tripp Papineau. He has a borderline encyclopedic knowledge of videogames and the industry, which should really come has no surprise since he worked as a gaming journalist for nearly five years. Check your briefing books fellow PR people, you may have even given Tripp a demo or two!
Tripp was inspired to work in the gaming industry after being introduced to the original Halo in 2001. He was immediately grabbed by the artistry and hard work that went into creating Halo, and it opened his view on the industry and the process of making games.
In 2014 Tripp started as a freelance journalist for videogame outlets such as OnlySP, Culture of Gaming, and Mp1st. He attended trade shows including E3 and visited PAX West to conduct interviews, eventually using that knowledge to enter the PR world.
But Tripp also has a passion for other mediums!
In fact, what we love most about Tripp is his FANATIC horror movie fandom and constant genre recommendations. Since we’ve all apparently deemed Halloween a two-month holiday, we’re resting with one eye open (these movies are scary, okay?) knowing Tripp made horror games and movie lists to keep us all occupied (and terrified).
