Igniting Media’s Inner Fire with Imp of the Sun

Imp of the Sun is the latest indie title from our friends across the pond at Fireshine Games. It’s a 2D platformer, which we’ve seen time and time again, BUT its incorporation of Peruvian culture and a hand-drawn aesthetic is what really makes this game stand out. We doubled down on these key messages to hook in media during a bloated month of game launches. This resulted in top-tier coverage from some of the biggest gaming outlets in the industry.

A month prior to launch, we utilized Imp of the Sun’s participation in Steam Next Fest to push the game in front of players and garner review interest from press. In addition, we talked with our contacts at Nintendo Life and secured an exclusive placement for the Switch reveal trailer on the world-renown Nintendo outlet – a perfect way to lead into launch!

Through months of prep work, the Imp of the Sun launch spread like wildfire as we secured over 50 pieces of news and review coverage from Forbes, PC Gamer, Twinfinite, Reporte Indigo Geek and many more. Oh yeah, we also got the game on IGN LATAM to hit that Latin American market.
