Celebrating 16 Years of Exploring Entropia Universe’s Massive Worlds

In 2003 while most of us were jamming out to 50 Cent and The Black-Eyed Peas, the developers of Entropia Universe were launching what would become one of the longest-standing multiplayer games in the world. Earlier this month, we helped our partners at MindArk celebrate the multi-world massively multiplayer (MMO) game’s 16-year anniversary. This impressive milestone is just one of many in the game’s lengthy history, including holding the Guinness World Record for most valuable virtual property ever sold to a single player, which is $330,000. This anniversary also delivered an overhaul of updated controls, to further Entropia Universe’s transition into the current decade of MMO games and continue to remain relevant in an ever-evolving marketplace.

Maintaining media attention for a game old enough to earn its driver’s license is no easy task. That’s why we decided to celebrate and help roll out content update news by setting up several interviews between the MindArk team and prominent MMO gaming media websites. The interviews gave MMO experts and their readers a unique insight on the company behind the historical game, with one of them leading to a virtual walk-through of Entropia Universe with an editor who had never played it in the past. Our efforts secured awesome coverage placements in key vertical gaming media. Check out some of the notable hits below:

MMORPG
Massively
MMO Bomb
MMO Games
MMO Huts
MMO Fallout

Our friends at MindArk have even more developments on the horizon, so stay tuned to see how we continue to make waves for Entropia Universe as the game approaches its 20th anniversary in 2023.
