Wonacott Secures Huge Coverage For Star Trek Timelines

With Star Trek celebrating its 50th Anniversary earlier this month, Wonacott is working with Disruptor Beam, developer of hit mobile game Star Trek Timelines, to take advantage of the increased media and consumer interest in the iconic science fiction franchise.

When a special surprise consisting of THE MOST ADDICTIVE GAME IN THE GALAXY was added to the game, Wonacott went to work to let people know about it.  This week, we are able to beam the word out about how Star Trek: Timelines players can gain access to “The Game,” a hard-to-find Easter egg deep within Star Trek Timelines that replicates the gameplay experience from an iconic, fan-favorite episode from the Star Trek: The Next Generation television series.

Disruptor Beam’s developers built a mini-game mimicking an addiction forming “augmented reality” game from the classic episode, and with the help of Wonacott, wanted to let fans know it was there.

Wonacott scheduled an interview with Kotaku for Disruptor Beam’s Rich Gallup, leading to an entire story about the “Galaxy’s Most Addictive Game” being hidden within Star Trek: Timelines.   Since then, outlets such as CinemaBlend and the influential Giant Bombcast podcast have covered what they are calling “the greatest Easter egg ever.”

The great coverage for Star Trek: Timelines follows the recent coverage around the franchise’s 50th Anniversary on major outlets such as Space.com, Gamespot.com and Heavy.com. In a time when millions around the world are already reminiscing about Star Trek, getting Star Trek: Timelines mentioned and included as much as possible was our mission, and hopefully not our final frontier, in our relationship with Disruptor Beam.
