    Executive Team

    Jason Wonacoff

    Jason Wonacott

    Founder and CEO

Jason created Wonacott Communications in 2007 following several years heading up PR and communications initiatives both in-house and agency side. He had one goal: Provide the benchmark public relations and new media results of a major agency while being affordable, adaptable and approachable - all with a modern perspective on the constantly evolving communications mediums. Adhering to this mantra, Wonacott Communications quickly established itself as a respected strategic PR partner for a number of start-up and established interactive entertainment, convergence, consumer technology, consumer products/lifestyle and technology companies.

Prior to launching Wonacott Communications, Jason was the head of corporate communications for two industry leading online entertainment companies, one VC-backed and one public. Previously, as a senior member of two leading Los Angeles-based public relations firms, he handled PR programs and initiatives for a number of clients in the consumer electronics, digital entertainment, consumer lifestyle, luxury brand, technology and clean technology industries.

Jason began his communications career as a TV reporter, and he also served four years in the U.S. Navy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Communication from the University of Oregon and is member of the Public Relations Society of America.

When not working, Jason takes full advantage of life in Southern California - from surfing and hiking to wine tasting and sampling the many restaurants Los Angeles offers. He's a gamer, a music and movie junkie, a social media addict, budding wine snob and he trains in - and is an instructor of - Krav Maga, the Israeli hand-to-hand combat system, so don't mess with him.
