Wonacott Communications

VR, MMOs, Shooters, Platformers… we are stoked for E3 next week!

Every June the tempo – and the tension – at our office increases. It’s E3 time! Next week many of our team will be at the Los Angeles Convention Center working our media relations mojo for some killer companies with awesome games and hardware. It’s going to be a killer week!

The Wonacott team starting kicking our creative chops and Jedi-mind tricks for this year’s E3 a couple of months ago. We had to current video games clients and a new VR hardware company tap us to support them at this year’s show. From a highly anticipated online PvP shooter, a destructive driving and mayhem game, or handling messaging for the President of the United States, you might consider calling us the gaming industries’ PR version of Olivia Pope because – it’s been handled.

Nexon America and Boss Key’s Lawbreakers
Starting off with a heavy hitter, our partner in ‘lawbreaking crime,’ Nexon America, is back at it again with Cliff Blezinski, as Boss Key’s Lawbreakers. This kick-a** first-person shooter, turned heads in April with media and influencers at a preview event and PAX East. Now the game heads to E3 with its beautiful graphics and innovative mechanics, including its anti-gravity zones and jet packs.

Lawbreakers will be hands on in Room PMR 501A above the West Hall.

U&I Entertainment and Sold Out
Our friends over at U&I Entertainment, together with their European partners, Sold Out, are showing up to their first E3 in a huge way. Their diverse E3 portfolio showcases sneaky yet trigger happy Sniper Elite 4, brave and classic Worms MD, the ultimate postal service platformer Unbox, and the latest installment to the game series that redefines ‘road rage’, Carmageddon: Max Damage, among others. We definitely have our hands full – full of awesomeness (zing!).

U&I’s portfolio can be seen in concourse meeting room 8505. Sniper Elite 4 also will be hands on in Rebellion’s meeting room, 501C above the West Hall. And for some chill one-on-one time with U&I, the rising publisher is hosting the Ford’s Filling Station bar at the JW Marriott. Journalists who book a session with U&I will receive a “golden ticket” for unlimited drinks and snacks during E3.

Pico VR and the Pico Neo headset
We expect VR to be huge at E3 this year. And our newest friends over at Pico VR tapped us lead their PR effort to rise above the noise with their latest, Android based self-contained headset, the Pico Neo. The Android-based headset doesn’t need a phone, PC or any other hardware, allowing you to take your VR experience anywhere. We don’t want to spoil too much before the show, and we can’t wait to introduce media to this innovative beauty

Pico VR will be showing the Pico Neo in the South Hall, booth 2800.
