Available Positions

Account Supervisor (interactive entertainment and tech)

Wonacott Communications, an independent PR agency in Los Angeles, has an immediate opening for an experienced Account Supervisor-level professional to work with clients in interactive entertainment (video games), both B2B and B2C. In addition to extensive video games PR experience, you also have:

  • A minimum 6 years of legit experience in public relations and social media at a public relations agency
  • Experience in -- and passion for -- video games (console, PC, mobile and online), digital music, digital video and consumer electronics 
  • Experience with both B2B and B2C clients/accounts
  • Proven ability to serve as a day-to-day client contact and provide strategic council
  • Experience developing and managing social media in communications programs 
  • Outstanding writing skills for public relations. You will be writing press releases, media plans, press kit materials, media pitches, etc., and editing the work of others
  • Direct experience in pitching both national and regional media (consumer, enthusiast, business and trade), and can demonstrate past success
  • The ability to work well with limited supervision; integrity and accountability are a must
  • A pleasant personality and a great sense of humor; easy to work with, creative and fun!
  • Experience managing a team and mentoring junior staff

Public Relations Intern

Wonacott Communications, an award-winning independent PR agency in Los Angeles, is looking for an awesome Public Relations Intern to work with clients in the video games, online media/entertainment, technology and consumer spaces. This position may be either part or full time, depending on the candidate’s availability (see below).

We’re looking for a talented, aggressive and outgoing aspiring PR pro to actively play a valuable role as part of our team while learning and honing their public relations skills. Your primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct media relations and develop story angles
  • Research media contacts and create strategic media lists for media outreach
  • Develop and create press materials
  • Contribute to social media strategies and programs/campaigns
  • Contribute actively in brainstorms for PR campaigns, activities and events
  • Conduct research for new business proposals
  • Monitor and compile news coverage

PR Interns should be available for 20-40 hours per week and will receive an hourly salary of $8 or eligible to receive school credit for their internships.
